Virginia Ransom
Virginia first made and sold jewellery while still at school in Sydney. She went on to be a fashion designer and ran her own successful fashion accessory business in the 1980s. Then Virginia turned her attention to painting - exhibiting and selling her watercolour paintings. Following her move to Tasmania, Virginia returned to jewellery making and for a while continued to combine this with painting. Now though, due to the success of her jewellery business, she no longer has time to paint.
In designing and making her unique range of contemporary jewellery, Virginia specializes in the use of gemstones, sterling silver, pearls and handmade beads from around the world. Her bold styling and use of high quality materials has earned her a strong following of lovers of individual jewellery.
